Point Peron
Peron is a small town located in the Mid-West region of Western Australia. An hour’s drive from Perth, Point Peron sits near the causeway to the naval support facility on Garden Island. The town was gazette in 1974, and today, Peron is home to a few hundred people and is a popular place for a family or social group getaway. It is noted for its protected beaches, limestone cliffs, reefs and panoramic views. It has a primary school, post office, general store, caravan park and a local pub. It is surrounded by the Shoalwater Islands Marine Park. The area around Peron offers spectacular scenery and is popular for fishing, camping and four-wheel driving.
