Looking for a fun and exciting way to celebrate Australia Day? Come join us in the iconic Rockingham Foreshore on Saturday, January 27th from 5pm to 8.45pm. Join us for a special event that the whole community can enjoy at Churchill Park.  

There will be something for everyone at this celebration, with plenty of activities and entertainment to keep you entertained. Here’s a preview of what you can expect: 

– Fireworks at 8.30pm: Don’t miss the spectacular fireworks display that will light up the sky and bring the evening to a dazzling close. 

– Bluey and Bingo: Get ready to be entertained by everyone’s favorite blue heelers as they put on a show-stopping performance that will leave you laughing and cheering. 

– Live music: Enjoy the sounds of local artists Little Belle and the talented contenders of the 2023 Breakthrough Music Competition. 

– Free amusement rides: Let your inner child loose and have a blast on the various amusement rides available for free. 

– Showbag stand and carnival games: Indulge in some classic carnival fun with showbags, games, and prizes. Please note that fees may apply for certain games and showbags. 

– Roaming entertainment: Be amazed by the various roaming performers who will captivate you with their talents and interactive acts. 

– Free children’s activities: Keep the kids entertained with face painting, crafts, and other fun activities specially designed for them. 

– Fun caricatures: Get a unique and hilarious souvenir by getting your caricature drawn by talented artists. 

– Sensory-friendly chill-out zone: This event is inclusive, and a special chill-out zone will be available for those who need a break from the excitement. It will offer noise-cancelling headphones and a calm space for relaxation. 

– Food vendors: From delicious snacks to mouth-watering meals, there will be a wide variety of food vendors to choose from, ensuring you don’t go hungry.

The Celebrate Australia Day in Rockingham event is one of the City’s major annual events and part of our Summer Series program. The Summer Series aims to provide free, family-friendly events for the Rockingham community to connect and engage in during the summer season. 

Visitors are reminded that smoking, vaping, and alcohol consumption are not permitted at these events. 

If you’re planning to drive, please refer to our parking map for convenient parking options. Limited additional parking will be available at the Village Green from 4.30pm until full.  

For those using public transportation, additional bus route 555 services will be running every 15 minutes between 6pm and 9.30pm. Make sure to visit the Transperth website to plan your journey.
